[A dark grey felt tote, holding two bottles of wine: a 2011 Massolino Barolo Riserva Vigna Rionda, and a 2020 Pescevino Bianco. (Only one of these is a nice bottle of wine, and the other is a joke.) Pinned to the bag is a folded note in Enoch's careful handwriting:]
For you, I've selected an incredibly nice Barolo Nebbiolo. At first glance, it seems light, even frivolous. Not the sort of wine people take seriously based just on looks. But a taste reveals that it is startlingly opinionated, stubborn and lingering even after you've set it down, and with a depth and complexity that resists being fully deciphered after only a few sips. Very dry, very understated, very refreshing. In the first few years, this vintage is both intriguing and almost intolerable, but given some time to develop, it mellows into something with considerable longevity. Now is an excellent time for this bottle. But it will hold, if you're not sure you want to open it yet.

The Pescevino is ... drinkable. But I personally find it charming.
[The bottom edge of the paper is a little too close to the last line, as though there was something else written after that, then torn off upon second thought.]
