few ideas spring to mind, though.
first, I guess you'd need to figure out the nature of the consciousness that isn't "out". they're aware when they're in there, but are they perceivable? a more powerful psychic than me might be able to find that out, and knowing anything more about the state of the two minds would help a lot.
could use some mind-controlled prosthetic tech -- a speaker or a hand. see if they can't talk or write that way.
third option, I could try hitching them, although I don't know if it would take. if they can snap back and forth in under two minutes, I could open a link on one and hitch it to the other and we could see what that does for them.
