You were right about the moles. Once separated, their genetic changes fell out of sync. So far no reports on what this will mean, but I imagine not that their lost sibling is returned, they'll sync back up.
And... a genetic analysis of Ernestine's hair and blood tells us nothing new. She is completely human, and has experienced no Liminal mutations. She's still giving off radiation, but she's healthy and not mutating. It doesn't make much sense, but it's true.
